The story:

In 2019, I took on an exciting new project: setting up payroll for a vibrant, up-and-coming restaurant. It seemed like a simple enough task at first, but as we got to know the team and the business, I quickly realised they needed more than just payroll support. This was our moment of inspiration, and the birth of our “Pain Point Eliminator”.

 

As I worked closely with the restaurant owner, I began to uncover the challenges they were facing. They were juggling employee hours on a clunky spreadsheet, relying on a general accountant who didn’t quite get the intricacies of the restaurant industry, and were a bit lost when it came to employment contracts. On top of that, the owner was feeling overwhelmed with the everyday demands of running the show and a feeling of burnout was setting in.

But I saw potential—and I knew we could help. That’s when I offered what is now known as our pain point eliminator, free of charge. I asked the right curious questions, listened carefully, and then got to work. I called on our contacts and introduced them to a time & attendance company to streamline their scheduling, a specialist hospitality accountant who understood their unique needs, an HR consultancy to handle the contracts and policies, and a virtual assistant to lighten the load on the owner.

The transformation was incredible. With the right people in place, the restaurant began to flourish. The owner felt a renewed sense of control and confidence, and the business thrived in ways they hadn’t imagined.

By simply keeping it human and asking curious questions, I helped a business to thrive by introducing the RIGHT people. It’s amazing what can happen when you simply take the time to understand someone’s needs and connect them with the right resources. Not bad for just a payroll provider, right?
